The scope of the project involved the modernization and upgrade of an existing building into a fully resourced contemporary school. The primary objectives were to ensure the safe and functional operation of the school during the construction phases, accommodate the school’s growing needs, and adhere to building quality guidelines set by the Victorian School Building Authority (VSBA). Additionally, the project aimed to establish vital infrastructure services to ensure the long-term viability of the school.
Throughout both stages of the project, collaboration between structural engineers, architects, and construction teams was essential to ensure the seamless integration of the new structures with the existing building and infrastructure.
Successful completion of Stage 1 in July 2022, which included an administration building, formal school entrance, junior learning base building with eight general learning areas (GLAs), student amenities, landscaping, infrastructure upgrades, and integration with existing relocatable buildings.
The project aimed to address challenges related to essential services, such as water, sewer, stormwater, and power and telecom connections.
