Civil Engineering concept and detailed design for repurposing of the former Phillip Morris cigarette factory site into Morris Moor commercial and hospitality precinct.
Working closely with the architectural team to maintain the heritage of the site, Adams designed a new stormwater system to effectively service the new urban elements while connecting with the existing factory infrastructure.
New communal spaces, carparking and pathways were carefully levelled to ensure stormwater was directed through the site via overland flow paths to protect the refurbished structures.
Incorporating adequate drainage for a new childcare space open to rainfall which was previously an enclosed industrial building required close detailing with the architect and landscape architect.
Investigating existing site drainage infrastructure to analyse which elements needed to be replaced and what could be reused to efficiently service the refurbished spaces.
