Morris Moor

254-258 Chesterville Road, Moorabbin

Adams Consulting Engineers played a pivotal role in the remarkable reimagining of a former Phillip Morris cigarette factory site into the Morris Moor commercial and hospitality precinct spanning over 45,000 square meters. Collaborating seamlessly with the client and architectural team, we meticulously preserved the site’s heritage while facilitating its modern transformation.

Our contributions encompassed a diverse range of elements, including:

  • Upgrading the main office building with enhanced façade screens and entryways.
  • Curating an inviting food and beverage precinct.
  • Establishing convenient undercover car parking facilities.
  • Crafting a contemporary two-story childcare centre.
  • Designing adaptable multi-tenancy warehouses, retail spaces, and commercial tenancies.
  • Creating expansive landscaped public areas adorned with a variety of landscape structures.

Navigating this multifaceted project, we deftly addressed the challenges posed by the existing buildings. With modifications and alterations made over time and limited existing drawings, evaluating framing and capacity proved to be a complex undertaking. Despite these hurdles, our collaboration ensured the successful realization of this visionary project.
